Jaipur water is hard enough that a kitchen sink shows it within months, not years. The steel dulls, the tap clouds over, and a chalky ring forms wherever water stands and evaporates. On the tiles around the sink it combines with cooking grease into a film that resists a degreaser alone and a descaler alone.
There is a second thing specific to Jaipur kitchens, and it matters more than the water: a lot of homes here use marble, granite or sandstone counters, and the acidic products that clear hard water scale destroy them.
